In no other country on earth is the percentage of those working in tea cultivation as high as in Sri Lanka. Tea production is one of the country’s largest economic sectors. alveus® itself purchases large quantities of high-quality Ceylon from Sri Lanka and, for that reason, we would like to give something back to the country. Please visit www.hellabeem.org to find out more.

The voluntary organisation the “Hellabeem Foundation” was founded by Dutch expats Helene Heijen and Jan van Beek in 2002. Hellabeem is an in-house training and rehabilitation centre for young people who are physically disabled and socially disadvantaged. The organisation focuses most of its work on this particularly disadvantaged group. Thanks to physiotherapy, the opportunity to learn a trade/vocation and social assistance in a close-knit environment, these young people are afforded a chance to one day flourish independently. With the support of our volunteers and donors, these young people can look forward to a secure and independent future.

Soul of Sri Lanka Organic

Soul of Sri Lanka Organic

This spicy chai tea, made with traditional ingredients from Sri Lanka, sends your senses on a journey to the paradise island on the Indian Ocean. For every purchase of the Soul of Sri Lanka charity tea, alveus® automatically donates €1 per 100g to the Hellabeem project. With just a small contribution you can help support the organisation. The children and their carers are thankful for every penny.

Like to help? We want to join together with our customers to make a difference and encourage you to give a little back to this country and its children. Above you can make a donation to our shared project and see progress straight away.
You can also support the foundation with material donations, charity parties or other projects and play your own part in the happiness of these children. The team at Hellabeem welcomes your ideas and suggestions too. More info at
