Green tea

Enjoy the history of tea drinking.

It is the ideal drink to get going and a pleasure which can make time stand still for a moment. Above all green tea is the precious legacy of an ancient culture.

Produced from tradition, care and the best plants.

Green tea has been drunk in China for over 4,500 years. Buddhist monks took it to Japan and it reached Europe in the 17th century. Green and black tea are won from the same plant. After the leaves are plucked, those used for green tea are carefully steamed and dried. They must not break during the procedure as this would cause cell secretion. Due to the particular process, the tea retains both its colour and many of its healthy components.

Convinces also through its inner values.

Far Eastern medicine esteems green tea as a cure for many physical and mental complaints. It is said that green tea cleanses the spirit. One reason is that the caffeine content in green tea is noticeably less than in black. The combination of caffeine and catechin stimulates the mind in an agreeable way, and not the circulation in the first place.

By the way; green tea contains vitamins A, B, B12 and C and important minerals like potassium, calcium and fluoride. It has a high concentration of antioxidants which strengthen the immune system and help the body fend off invasion of uses and infections. Boiled water allowed to cool to 60° - 90° C should be used. As a rule use 3-5 dessert spoons of tea to 1 litre of water and leave to brew for 2-4 minutes. Green tea may be infused several times though the leaves should not dry out completely in between.

Mankind has always got together over a cup of tea.
