When the days start getting shorter and the temperatures start to drop, you know autumn is on the way. Here’s the perfect recipe to bring the harvest season into your kitchen!


10 g alveus® Pumpkin Chai

250 ml water

200 g sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ground cloves

½ tsp ground nutmeg

40 g pumpkin purée


Fill a teabag with the tea, pour over 300 ml of boiling water and let cool. Then remove the teabag and put 250 ml of the brewed tea into a saucepan and stir in the sugar. Next, simmer over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Then add the purée and mix thoroughly.

Let the syrup simmer for just a few minutes until it thickens. Add the spices at the end. If you like, add vanilla or ginger to taste, and stir everything well. Now the syrup can be poured through a fine sieve a few times to remove larger chunks. Let the syrup cool for another 10-20 minutes and then pour into a clean bottle or jar.

The syrup works wonders on both coffee and tea! It also tastes incredible on freshly made waffles or cake.
