Baked apples in tea bath


Tastes best when served directly out of the oven

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Baking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients (for 2 persons):
1 l strong tea (classic black tea or fruit melange as you like)
1 teaspoon sugar
Cinnamon, pepper
2 large mealy apples (e. g. Boskop)
1 pack vanilla sugar

Brew tea as described and season to taste with sugar, cinnamon and pepper. Peel the apples, divide into two halves and remove cores. Put the apple halves into a baking dish and pour the tea over them. Sprinkle with vanilla sugar. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (convection) for about 25 minutes until the apples are tender.
