Tea jelly


Sweet spread for bread or pancakes or a side dish to meat

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes

1 litre strong tea (classic or fruity black tea as you like)
1 bag gelling agent
800 g sugar

Brew tea as described. Add gelling agent and sugar. Let gently cook 10-20 minutes until gelling. (You can test the gelling degree by putting one drop of the liquid onto a cold plate.) Pour the hot jelly into clean prepared glasses, Close tightly and turn upside down for a few minutes. This keeps the jelly prepared for storage and later usage.
