Mulled wine without alcohol


First of all, in the alcohol-free variant - especially for children and people who do not like alcohol - the wine is replaced by fruit juice. You can choose a mix of orange, currant, cherry or apple juice according to your taste. 


Traditional mulled wine

(With red wine)

A simple recipe for everyone who loves simple enjoyment. The spice for the mulled wine from alveus® made of rose hip, orange peels, cinnamon sticks and clove, turns the red wine into a tasty and smooth mulled wine.


Ingredients:
  • 15 - 20 g of alveus® mulled wine spices Organic
  • 1 l red wine (sweet: e.g. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon …)

Preparation:

Heat the red wine (do not boil it!) and then let the spice for the mulled wine steep for 10 - 12 minutes.


How to serve it:

Serve in a glass or cup. Garnish with a fresh orange slice.

Caribbean mulled wine magic

(With red or white wine)

Ingredients:
  • 15 - 20 g alveus@ Caribbean mulled wine magic (Apple, pineapple, coconut, mango, papaya)
  • 1 l red wine (e.g. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • Or white wine (e.g. Riesling, Scheuerebe …)

Preparation:

Heat the wine (do not boil it!) and add the alveus® Caribbean mulled wine magic to the wine or put it into a tea filter. Infuse it for about 10 - 12 minutes. Then sieve or remove the tea filter.


How to serve it:

Serve in a glass or cup. Garnish with a piece of fresh pineapple.



Glögi - Finnish mulled wine


For those who still believe in Santa Claus: Santa lives in the Korvatunturi mountain near the Finnish town of Rovaniemi. As a Finn, Mr. Santa Claus enjoys a glass of mulled wine on Christmas. Here is a Finish mulled wine recipe:
(Please prepare the non-alcoholic recipe for your children!)


Ingredients:
  • 2 l red wine
  • 200 ml currant juice
  • 10 g cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 100 g almonds
  • 100 g raisins 
  • Sugar (optional)

Preparation:

Heat all ingredients excepts almonds and raisins in a pot to approx. 80 degrees (never boil!) Depending on your taste, the Glögi can also be cooked overnight.


How to serve it:

Serving suggestion: Put the almonds and raisins into the glass and pour in the mulled wine.
Some Finns also add some vodka, mint liqueur or liquorice liqueur.
